Isdan was created as a "help angel" for a much larger CD-ROM about ISDN. The original request was for a cartoon character that would do things like point to key parts of the screen. Although I do hand drawn animation, I wanted to try a "3D for 2D" project so I modeled the character in Animation:Master and used "toon-style" rendering to simulate a traditional cel appearance.

I thought it looked very toony when I handed my frames off to the next person on the team, but he came back later, very alarmed, and said "I don't know if you noticed, but your 3D alien is rendering with a big black line around him!"

Oh well...
